🧠 THE BIG IDEA
Replenishment, billing reminder, reactivation. That's the entire playbook for the average subscription brand using Zaymo.
It's just a small part of what the tool can do.
If you run a subscription brand, you've probably seen Zaymo before, the interactive AMP blocks that let email subscribers edit their product subscription (Add-on, swap, delay, send now, etc), leave a review, fill out a form that updates their profile, create gamified emails, and more without ever leaving the email.
Every use case you've seen lives inside a flow. "Your subscription renews in 3 days", “come back for 40% off“, “add a product with 10% off“.
What almost nobody does: drop the same widget into a regular campaign, sent to a list you already have, that adds revenue to subscriptions already active. No new automation. No new trigger logic. Just a send.
We pulled six real examples. Some are clients, some aren't. All of them are doing the campaign version, not the flow version.
THE ASSETS
📧 How Top Brands Do It
NOTE: when sending an email campaign with a subscription-related Zaymo widget like the subscription portal reactivation one-click add-on swap up, etc the widget will only show to profiles who it applies to: non-subscribers will see either a different version of that block that will send them to the website, or the block will not show at all. Make sure you design your emails around the fallback version so your emails look good and make sense in every inbox.
Magic Mind sent a campaign to anyone who'd made a one-time purchase of a specific SKU. Two paths inside the email: reorder as one-time, or reorder and subscribe with the savings shown right in the widget. The decision happens in the inbox, no portal redirect.

Everyday Dose sent existing subscribers an upgrade offer inside a normal send. Swap the current bag for a bigger one, get two free weeks and free shipping. The comparison and the swap both happen inside the email.

Small Pet Select again, this time early access. A subscriber-exclusive box drop, addable as a one-time purchase or folded into the existing subscription. Same list, same product, just packaged as urgency instead of a flow trigger.

Slumber used the widget to upsell a second product to existing subscribers. Add magnesium to your current order. One click, no separate checkout.

The same move works past revenue too. Small Pet Select ran a zero-party data campaign disguised as a quiz, one click updates a subscriber's profile. Another used a gamified "find the gift" send just to drive engagement. Same tool, same campaign-not-flow logic, different objective.

THE TAKEAWAY
📓 The Retention Wrap-Up:
Every brand above added revenue to subscriptions that already existed. Not new customers. Not a new flow. Just a send to a list they already had.
Most brands leave that revenue on the table because they think the tool only works inside automation.
It doesn't. It works the moment you send it.
